Our Ceramic Coating Process
1. Exterior Wash
We start with an exterior wash to clean the vehicle and get rid of the bulk of the surface contamination to get the paint ready for rest of the process. Pre-Wash, Foam cannon, rinse, foam cannon, double bucket agitation wash, rinse, dry. Wheel thoroughly cleaned and dressed
2. Iron Decon
The iron decontamination stage is important to get rid of iron particles that get embedded into the paint. When left, these tiny particles will start to turn orange and dull the paint. Eventually if the paint never gets decontaminated, the paint will break down and you will get rust spots.
3. Clay Barring
The clay bar process is where we get rid of the deep surface contamination that can't get removed from a standard wash. Before clay barring, the paint feels like sandpaper and after it's as smooth as glass.
4. Surface Prep
We use Mothers brand Surface prep to remove old waxes, oils and grease to ensure optimal adhesion and a lasting bond between the paint and the ceramic coating.
5. Paint Correction
Paint correction is very important to do before a coating. We do a 1 step correction to remove the majority of scratches and swirls and imperfections from the clear coat. There is a huge visual difference too, but this also allows the coating to bond much better and last much longer
6. Ceramic Coating
Finally its time to apply the coating. We apply up to 2 layers of coating and level it with three separate microfiber towels to ensure there's no high spots left behind.
